Fedora FreeMedia for April

I’ve got a new toy for Fedora FreeMedia in April, I’ve managed to finally pick up a new SATA DVD burner. My old reliable DVD burner was still working just fine however burning 50+ DVDs a month @ 4x was getting painfully slow. I’ve now got a 20x with lightscribe 🙂

So since I’ve got the lightscribe feature I figured I might as well use it!

SHOUTcast Management Interface (SMI) SVN Snapshot 20080319

I’ve released a stable snapshot of my software SMI for public download.  Check out the Sourceforge page for what it’s all about.  Judging by the name of course it’s a shoutcast management portal 🙂

SMI v2

I’m getting close to releasing SMI version 2 Alpha 1, it’s pretty much functional however I need to tighten the hatches before release time.

Preparing for Fedora FreeMedia program for February

Thanks to Thomas Chung I have been outfitted with a bunch of pressed x86 Fedora 8 DVDs to be distributed as part of Fedora FreeMedia February.

Thanks Thomas, I’m sure the people that receive these in the end will be quite pleased 🙂

Netflix don’t fail me now

It’s amazing how many online companies just don’t get the hint.. Granted, the linux user base is far smaller than the Windows user base.  However; Could you imagine how many *more* users someone like Netflix would gain if they supported online viewing of movies for Linux users? that’s like a instant influx of a million or more users that would pay money to use the service.. It seems kinda asinine that they won’t do it… or anyone for that matter..  oh right… Hulu does. 😉
